Join us for a transformative two-day pottery workshop dedicated to wheel throwing. This intensive course is designed for beginners and intermediate learners looking to expand their ceramics practice.

During this immersive experience, participants will explore the fundamental techniques of wheel throwing under the expert guidance of our instructors. The workshop will focus on concentrated practice, allowing students to rapidly progress and refine their wheel throwing abilities.

Class times will take place  Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm  /  Sunday 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Spread over this two day period, our Saturday workshop will allow for 8 hours of studio access with guided & hands on instruction, as well as multiple demos.

Our second day will be 5 hours focused on trimming our work, adding handles, and surface decoration.

The condensed format of this two-day intensive workshop offers several advantages: Unlike standard classes, this workshop provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in continuous practice and guidance over two full days. This concentrated approach ensures that participants gain a thorough understanding of wheel throwing techniques and develop confidence in their abilities.

Our small class size enables personalized instruction tailored to each participant’s skill level and goals. Whether you're a novice eager to master the basics or an experienced potter looking to refine your craft, our instructor will provide targeted guidance and feedback throughout the workshop.

Explore different forms, styles and finishing techniques with ample time to experiment and refine your creations.

This workshop is ideal for anyone passionate about pottery, whether you're fairly new to ceramics or a seasoned hobbyist looking to advance your skills. No prior experience is required, however it is recommended that you have had some experience with working with clay to make the most of your intensive.

Each student will be provided with 20lbs of Clay, and may keep up to 10 completed pieces. Additional clay may be purchased, and additional pieces may be kept for an extra charge.

Students are not required to stay at the studio for the entire 8 hour duration. Snack & coffee breaks, walks, and general movement (or lounging) is encouraged!  A designated lunch break will also be included.

Students will be given the option to underglaze and use decorative slips on their work while they are still green. We will fire and clear glaze all completed work for pickup.

Refund Policy

A full refund is available 7 days prior to class start. If cancellation is made less than 7 days prior to class start, there will be a $75 cancellation fee that will be deducted from the paid registration fee.
